TECHNICAL BUYER
CPM Europe (110 employees) is a leading provider of process equipment and engineered solutions for the oilseed, animal feed, and bioenergy markets. CPM designs, manufactures and sells both systems and individual production units. The extensive range of machinery including grinding systems, conditioning systems and pellet mills are used for processing bulk materials in the biomass industry, the production of animal feed, waste recycling and energy generation - all global industries that are growing strongly.

For the expansion of our purchasing department, we are looking for a Technical Buyer. Our team currently counts seven people including the purchasing manager.
Job description
The purchasing department is responsible for sourcing standard and engineered parts and equipment worldwide. As technical buyer you are responsible for the translation of business objectives into a successful purchasing strategy for parts and equipment. Based on technical specifications, you order products, answer supplier questions and, if necessary, look for suitable alternatives. It is important that all components are delivered on time with the quality level which meets CPM Europe’s standards and under the right commercial conditions.
You deal with, among other things
Conducting spend analyses, benchmarking and carrying out market research.
Leading procurement processes and supplier selection processes (RFI/RFQ/RFP).
Monitoring supplier performance and providing management information which would include, e.g. reports on (forecasted) savings.
Actively participating in value engineering projects.
Challenging both suppliers and the organization to get to the most optimal solution for the supply and development of parts.
Analyzing and mapping market developments.
What do you bring?
A technical bachelor’s degree (preferably Mechanical Engineering).
A completed purchasing training, preferably Nevi 2.
Several years of purchasing experience in a technical environment.
Knowledge of manufacturing methods.
A good understanding of technical drawings and specifications.
Strong in negotiating and maintaining relationships.
Strong communication skills; English and Dutch (verbal and writing).
Maintain overview in a hectic work environment.
A high degree of accuracy, tact and result oriented.
A proactive and service-oriented attitude.
