SALES ENGINEER

CPM Europe (120 employees) is a leading provider of process equipment and engineered solutions for the oilseed, animal feed, and bioenergy markets. CPM designs, manufactures and sells both systems and individual production units. The extensive range of machinery including grinding systems, conditioning systems and pellet mills are used for processing bulk materials in the biomass industry, the production of animal feed, waste recycling and energy generation - all global industries that are growing strongly.

For the expansion of our Sales team, we are looking for a Sales Engineer.
 

Role

The Sales Engineer supports the Area Manager during the sales process by answering customer questions, registering customers and project data in the ERP system, writing quotations and providing information such as drawings, manuals, process information, etc. You are also the first point of contact for our sales partners and house accounts. When an order is placed, you record all agreements made in the order confirmation and you ensure that the first deposit is received.

In order to bring all this work to a successful conclusion, you also work closely with project leaders, purchasers and engineers.
 

Responsibilities

  • Providing customers with technical and commercial information during the sales process, such as drawings, manuals, datasheets, process flow descriptions, OPEX/CAPEX etc.
  • Supporting house accounts with questions, quotations, orders related to machine sales.
  • Capture customer and project data in SAP.
  • Writing quotes and order confirmations.
  • Sending and monitoring the receipt of the first deposit invoices on machine order and project.  
  • Clarifying open points in machine order and project contracts and subsequently transferring the machine orders and projects to the project leaders.
 

Skills

  • Proven working experience, minimum 2 years, in (inside) sales.
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Language skill: English, and preferably French and German.
