DESIGN ENGINEER (MECHANICAL)
CPM Europe (120 employees) is a leading provider of process equipment and engineered solutions for the oilseed, animal feed, and bioenergy markets. CPM designs, manufactures and sells both systems and individual production units. The extensive range of machinery including grinding systems, conditioning systems and pellet mills are used for processing bulk materials in the biomass industry, the production of animal feed, waste recycling and energy generation - all global industries that are growing strongly.

For the expansion of our Engineering team, we are looking for (Junior) Design Engineers.
Role
As Design Engineer you will be working at our location in Zaandam, where the machines and components are developed and assembled, enabling you to physically assess the different designs on a daily basis. You will also be working on developments of our machines with engineers from various CPM locations around the world. In this dynamic environment, you will often be working on different projects at the same time. You will do this in collaboration with a group of driven and committed colleagues with a shared passion for technology.
Responsibilities
Design and improvement of new and existing CPM machines and components, from concept to realization.
Manage designs in PDM (Autodesk Vault Pro) and ERP (SAP B1).
Collaborate with colleagues within the Technical Group (Innovation, Engineering and Technical Services and Sales about market developments and opportunities for product development and improvement.
Support the Assembly and Service departments in solving complex technical problems, both during assembly in Zaandam and with machines in the field.
Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Design & Innovation.
Preferably several years of experience in designing machine parts and assemblies in 3D (Autodesk Inventor Pro). (Starters will also be considered for a Junior position).
Excellent problem-solving ability to provide the right solutions.
Ability to analyze structural machine problems and propose solutions.
Is proactive, hands-on and can work well both independently as well as in a team.
Communicate easily, at least in Dutch and English.
