To grow our international Procurement/ Supply Chain team we are looking for an Aftermarket Category Manager. In this role you will report to the Vice President - Global Supply Chain and Procurement in the USA. This position will be based in Zaandam.
The Aftermarket Category Manager will play an instrumental role in leading the Aftermarket Supply Chain and driving operational excellence for the various high-mix low-volume categories in Europe. The successful candidate will be a seasoned Procurement/Supply Chain professional in:
Improving customer satisfaction, EBITDA and net cash flow.
Driving strategic Procurement and Supply Chain Management for the Aftermarket segment.
Negotiating contracts and cost based on Total Value of Ownership (TVO).
Practicing decision making based on data and analytics in collaboration with the cross-functional team.
Esential duties and responsibilities
Lead and manage end-to-end Supply Chain for the Aftermarket Segment (SO issuance to scope delivery to the customer).
Develop and drive best practices and targets related to purchasing, inventory, warehouse, logistic and transportation management.
Assess and develop a customer-focused Supply Chain in collaboration with the Aftermarket team.
Proactively identify and manage risks and mitigation plan in collaboration with a cross-functional team to avoid Supply Chain disruption.
Ensures compliance with legal, regulatory and safety requirements.
Manage cost management for the sales proposal (Quote and COGS database management).
Collaborate with Global Supply Chain and Aftermarket team to drive best practices and support growth targets within Europe.
Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
Qualifications and skills
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or equivalent experience, with a preference given to the candidate possessing Aftermarket Supply Chain experience.
Individuals must possess a can-do attitude, open, flexible, thinking outside of the box, go-getter, technical aptitude and believes in creating value for customers.
Experience in using Lean, Six Sigma or similar tools.
Six or more years of purchasing, supply chain, and leadership experience.
Demonstrable experience in collaborating with a cross-functional team globally, creating values for end customers and driving operational excellence.
Must be able to drive change management.
Proven experience of contract: terms and conditions review, negotiation and execution.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
High integrity and ethics.
Multilingual and ability to support global cultural differences.
Ability to use ERP/MRP systems, specifically SAP, is highly preferred.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 30%.
